    1. Right to Know (Abbreviated Request): If you make a Right to Know (Abbreviated Request), you will receive the following information about you:
      1. Category of Personal Information collected in the past 12 months,
      2. Categories of sources from which that information was collected,
      3. The business or commercial purpose(s) for which the information was collected,
      4. The categories of third parties with whom Personal Information has been shared, and
      5. The business or commercial purpose for which Fundamental Income sold or disclosed the category of Personal Information.
    2. Right to Know (Specific Pieces of Information Request): If you make a Right to Know (Specific Pieces of Information Request), you will receive the following information about you:
      1. a. Specific pieces of Personal Information collected about you.

This information will be provided to you free of charge, unless Fundamental Income determines that your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. You may request this information twice in a 12-month period. This right is subject to certain exceptions. If you submit a request that is subject to an exception, we will alert you of this when you submit your request.

Right of Deletion. You have the right to request that Fundamental Income and our service providers delete any Personal Information about yourself, which Fundamental Income has collected from you upon receipt of a verifiable request. This right is subject to certain exceptions. If you submit a request that is subject to an exception, we will alert you of this when you submit your request.

Right to Opt Out of the Sale of Information. California Consumers have the right to opt-out of the sale of Personal Information by a business that sells Personal Information. Fundamental Income does not sell any Personal Information of California Consumers to unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.

Submitting Requests. You can submit your request by emailing us at inquiry@fundamentalincome.com.

Verifying Requests. Fundamental Income provides California Consumers with the ability to submit requests through our email address. Fundamental Income must verify that the person requesting information or deletion is the California Consumer about whom the request relates in order to process the request. To verify a California Consumer’s identity, your request must include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, the nature of your request (e.g., abbreviated request to know, request to delete, etc.), and the context in which we may have received your information (e.g., website visitor.). We may reserve the right to request additional information necessary to verify your identity we may request up to up to three pieces of Personal Information about you when you make a request to compare against our records. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with Personal Information if we cannot verify your identity. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. We will only use Personal Information provided in your request to verify your identity. Fundamental Income reserves the right to take additional steps as necessary to verify the identity of California Consumers or confirm the exact nature of the request.

Authorized Agent. Consumers may use an authorized agent to submit their request, consistent with the requirements of the CCPA. The authorized agent may submit the requests following the same methods outlined above. If you are an authorized agent and a consumer has given you signed permission to submit a request on his or her behalf, please send a copy of your signed permission by the consumer to Fundamental Income. Failure to submit proof of signed permission may result in Fundamental Income denying the consumer’s request. Fundamental Income may require the consumer to verify his or her identity and directly confirm with Fundamental Income that the consumer has provided you with permission to submit the request.

Response Timing and Format. The CCPA requires us to acknowledge your request within 10 business days and to respond within 45 days of receipt. We may, however, extend the response period by an additional 45 days. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason for the extension in writing or via email. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the receipt of the verifiable consumer request. The response we provide will also explain any reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a readily-useable format for the information we provide in response, unless a different format is specifically requested.

Right to Equal Service. Fundamental Income will not discriminate against you because you exercised any of your rights, including, but not limited to, by:

  • Denying goods or services to you.
  • Charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties.
  • Providing a different level or quality of goods or services to you.
  • Suggesting that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

Children’s Privacy
Our website is a general audience site and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children under the age of 16 years. Accordingly, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under age 16. Should we discover that a child under the appropriate age provided his or her personal information, we will promptly delete that information.

We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill your requests or the purposes for which it was obtained, including the provision of Services.
