Chris Burbach, CFA

CEO, Partner

Chris Burbach is a Co-Founder, Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of Fundamental Income. Chris is a member of the Board and jointly leads the Company’s Investment Committee.

Before founding Fundamental Income, Chris served as Executive Vice President of Underwriting for STORE Capital Corporation (NYSE: STOR) for seven years. In that role, he led the underwriting of approximately $12 billion in net lease investments, including over $7.5 billion in closed transactions. Chris also served as both a member and chairman of STORE’s Investment Committee. In addition to his investment and management responsibilities, Chris co-led numerous aspects of STORE’s capital markets activities, including corporate capital strategy, corporate credit ratings, the issuance of $725 million in investment grade corporate unsecured notes, and the issuance of over $2 billion in asset-backed notes, including A+ and AAA-rated notes.

Before joining STORE, Chris spent six years at Spirit Finance Corporation, where he served as the Vice President of Investment Management responsible for managing the company’s $3.5 billion real estate investment portfolio, in addition to managing the underwriting group. He also previously served as CEO of VM Management, Inc., an owner and manager of private charter schools, and as a consultant for Navigant Consulting working with construction and government industry groups. Chris earned his B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University and his M.B.A. from Arizona State University. Chris is also a CFA® charterholder.

Alexi Panagiotakopoulos

CIO, Partner

Alexi Panagiotakopoulos is a Co-Founder, Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Fundamental Income. Alexi is a member of the Board and jointly leads the Company’s Investment Committee.

He previously served as Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives for SMS Financial, a private distressed debt firm and joint venture partner of the FDIC. Over his five-year tenure, Alexi was instrumental in the acquisition, recovery and servicing of over $940 million of commercial debt across all asset classes. He also jointly managed all aspects of new business development, acquisitions and dispositions, revenue partnerships, capital placement opportunities, underwriting and portfolio management.

Before joining SMS Financial, Alexi specialized in underwriting at STORE Capital Corporation, (NYSE: STOR), which focuses on the acquisition and leaseback of single tenant operational real estate on a net- lease basis. He has an extensive background in sourcing, credit analysis, underwriting and real estate finance, with over $1.5 billion of transaction experience. He earned his B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Greg Lang

Partner

Greg Lang is a Partner of Fundamental Income.  Greg‘s primary responsibilities include originating and underwriting net lease investment opportunities as well as monitoring the firm’s existing investment portfolio. Mr. Lang also serves as a member of the Company’s Investment Committee.

Greg brings a wealth of real estate acquisition experience, having participated in over $1 billion of acquisitions across various asset classes. Before joining Fundamental Income, he served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Broadstone Net Lease, Inc., a New York-based privately held $4+ billion net lease REIT. In that role, Greg worked directly with real estate brokers and operating companies to provide tailored net lease and sale-leaseback solutions across the United States.

In addition, Greg previously served as Vice President of Investments for Starwood Waypoint Homes. Greg also spent over four years as Managing Director of Acquisitions at STORE Capital Corporation (NYSE: STOR), a publicly traded net lease REIT.A native Phoenician, Greg received his B.S. in Management with a Minor in Economics from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Matt Burbach

Partner

Matt Burbach is a Partner of Fundamental Income. Matt is primarily responsible for leading all aspects of the Company’s legal activities and serves as a member of the Investment Committee.

Matt previously served as Senior Real Estate Attorney for Ryan Companies, a vertically integrated real estate development, construction, and investment company with over $2 billion in annual revenue. In that role, he negotiated and drafted transactions for the acquisition, development, leasing and financing of office buildings, industrial facilities, multi-family residential complexes, retail and mixed-use centers across the United States, including complex projects with development budgets in excess of $200 million. He has extensive experience advising senior executives and management on risk management, capital structuring, equity formation, and construction financing.

Before joining Ryan Companies, Matt spent twelve years in private legal practice where he represented a variety of real estate clients, include a national triple net lease sale-leaseback REIT. Matt earned his B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Charlie Alm

Partner

Charlie Alm is a Partner of Fundamental Income.  Charlie’s primary responsibilities include originating and underwriting net lease investment opportunities, as well as monitoring the firm’s existing investment portfolio. Mr. Alm also serves as a member of the Company’s Investment Committee.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Charlie served as Vice President and General Counsel at a diversified family office focused on the agriculture and food manufacturing industries.  In that role, he was heavily involved in operations and strategy across numerous operating companies and played a lead role in sourcing and executing acquisitions and strategic investments.

Charlie previously worked in data center acquisitions for IO, now Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM), a global leader for storage and information management services. In addition, he spent seven years as a practicing attorney focused on mergers and acquisitions, first with White & Case, LLP in New York and then for Snell & Wilmer, LLP in Phoenix. Charlie received his B.A. from Arizona State University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Tanner Phillips

Partner

Tanner Phillips is a Partner of Fundamental Income.  Tanner’s primary responsibilities include structuring and underwriting net lease investment opportunities as well as monitoring the firm’s existing investment portfolio. Mr. Phillips also serves as a member of the Company’s Investment Committee.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Tanner served as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Investments and Chief of Staff for 4Front Ventures (FFNT.CN: CSE), a leader in the emerging cannabis industry. In this role, he was responsible for sourcing, capitalizing and managing all real estate and investments across 4Front’s national operating platform. Before joining 4Front, Tanner served as Vice President of Credit and Underwriting at STORE Capital Corporation (NYSE: STOR), where he managed the underwriting team and jointly led the review and analysis of more than $5 billion in single-tenant, net lease acquisitions. Tanner also previously worked as a Fixed Income Trader for Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo Corporation (NYSE: WFC), where he focused on taxable interest rate structured products.

Tanner graduated magna cum laude from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He is currently a level 3 candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.

Reed Dodenhoff

Partner

Reed Dodenhoff is a Partner of Fundamental Income. Reed’s primary responsibilities include originating and underwriting net lease investment opportunities as well as monitoring the firm’s existing investment portfolio. Mr. Dodenhoff also serves as a member of the Company’s Investment Committee.

Before Fundamental Income, Reed served as a Vice President in the Middle Market Finance Group of Oaktree Capital Management, a global asset management firm specializing in alternative investment strategies. As VP, he was responsible for originating, underwriting and executing new debt and equity investment opportunities in middle market companies. In addition, Reed was responsible for monitoring existing portfolio investments. Reed previously worked at Rothschild & Co, a multinational investment bank, within the Restructuring and Debt Advisory Group.

Reed received a B.B.A. from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Robert Mazakis

SVP, Controller

Robert Mazakis serves as Senior Vice President, Controller of Fundamental Income. Before joining Fundamental Income, Robert served nearly five years as Senior Vice President, Controller of Ensemble Investments, a privately held company with a$1 billion+ portfolio of developed and acquired real estate assets spanning hospitality, multi-family, mixed-use, medical and office, as well a third-party property management and brokerage services platform. In that role, he managed a 14-person accounting team responsible for all aspects of the company’s accounting, tax and treasury functions.

In addition, Robert served over four years as Chief Financial Officer of De Rito Partners, a privately held real estate company specializing in the retail sector. His experience also includes nine years as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of InnSuites Hospitality Trust, a publicly traded company that owns, operates, and manages hotels.

During his twenty-two year accounting career, Robert has also served as a Financial Controller of a privately-held land development company with nearly $2 billion in land holdings as well as a history in public accounting. Robert received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Arizona and his M.B.A. from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona.

Jaymee Geelan

SVP, Operations

Jaymee is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Fundamental Income.  She is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the firm’s corporate operational strategy.

Prior to joining Fundamental Income, Jaymee spent several years working in private legal practice, most recently at Quarles & Brady LLP in Phoenix, as a real estate attorney representing institutional investors, publicly traded REITS, commercial developers and public and private companies on a variety of commercial real estate and lending transactions. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona.

Jaymee earned her B.A. from American University and her J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School.

Nate Shindel

Vice President

Nate Shindel is the Vice President of Investments at Fundamental Income.  Nate’s primary responsibilities include analyzing, structuring and underwriting net lease investment opportunities.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Nate served as an underwriter at Trinity Capital Investment, a private venture debt fund focusing on mezzanine and senior loan financing for early stage technology companies. In that role, Nate served as part of the team responsible for conducting due diligence for all potential investment opportunities. Prior to Trinity Capital Investment, Nate specialized in underwriting at STORE Capital Corporation (NYSE: STOR), which focuses on the acquisition and leaseback of single tenant operational real estate on a net-lease basis. He brings a strong background in credit analysis and real estate finance, with over $250M of transactional experience.

Nate received his B.S. in Finance, from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He is currently a level 3 candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.

Tambre Ruud

VP,Real Estate Transactions

Tambre Ruud is the Vice President of Real Estate Transactions for Fundamental Income. She has over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, asset management and legal matters.  She spent the last seven years as an integral member of the in-house legal teams of two major REITs, and managed the successful closing of approximately $2.8 billion in combined acquisition and disposition transactions in 2019.

Tambre is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband, Scott, in 2004.  They are the proud parents of two sweet fur babies, named Nacho and Pico.

Scott Fortune

Senior Accountant

Scott Fortune serves as Senior Accountant of Fundamental Income. In his role, he will ensure compliance to accounting standards and timely reporting to internal and external parties.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Scott was the Accounting Manager for the Scottsdale division of Replay Destinations, a luxury condominium developer in travel destination markets. Prior to Replay Destinations, Scott spent 6 years at Cullum Development overseeing all financial reporting for various subsidiary companies in the Phoenix custom home market.

Scott is an Arizona native and a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in both Accounting and Management. Scott is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Arizona.

Kelsey McKone

Administrative Manager, Marketing

Kelsey McKone serves as Administrative Manager and Marketing team member for Fundamental Income. In addition to providing executive administrative and managerial support to the Company’s partners, Kelsey participates in developing and executing Fundamental Income’s marketing strategies.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Kelsey spent eight years as an educator at St. Francis Xavier Jesuit Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona, where she taught junior high. In addition
to her teaching activities, Kelsey served as a club moderator, created enrichment courses for after-school programs, and actively participated in school fundraising.

A fourth generation Phoenician, Kelsey received her B.A. from the University of Arizona and her Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University.

Jonathan Jaggard

Associate

Jonathan Jaggard is an Associate at Fundamental Income. Jonathan's primary responsibilities include real estate underwriting, transaction analysis, tenant due diligence, portfolio valuation, and market research.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Jonathan served as an Associate at KPMG, LLP, as a member of the firm's Real Estate Valuation group. As an Associate, he was responsible for market research, cash flow analysis, cost analysis, and other valuation activities for a wide variety of asset classes both nationally and internationally.

Jonathan received a B.S. in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington with a double major in Finance and Real Estate.

Martin Burch

Data Analyst

Martin Burch serves as a Data Analyst at Fundamental Income. Martin’s primary responsibilities include database construction and management, data analysis, as well as the management of the Company’s information technology.

Before joining Fundamental Income, Martin was a student at the University of Notre Dame. While there, he interned with Bluemount, a sales company focused in telecommunications, where he collaborated with the team on sales strategies and interfaced with customers and clients.

Martin graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2020 with a BBA in Business Analytics.
